PLEASE read the information below:

It is important to be sure the entire application is filled out correctly and completely. If any questions are not completed, the application will not be processed. We are a small group, and having to ask for additional information makes it hard to process applications.

It is important to know that you will need the following information before starting: The veterinarian reference name, address and phone number, the name, address and phone number for three references that are not related, if a renter, the name and contact number for the landlord. This application can take as much as 45 minutes, so please have the information ready.

SCMR policy is that we do not adopt to households with children 10 or under and SCMR does not adopt to homes with electric fences.

SCMR will adopt a rescue that is out of state to the applicant, but does not ship or transport them, we ask the approved adopters to make those arrangements. This also applies to instate adoptions. If the rescue being asked about is not local, or is out of state to the applicant, are you willing to make the drive to pick them up, no matter how far they are?

Southern Comfort Maltese Rescue policy regarding adopting to homes that have a swimming pool: SCMR will make exceptions for homes that have swimming pools provided the applicant can assure the rescue will be safe from any danger of getting into the pool. Please provide the following information:

This Agreement may be executed in one or more counterparts, each of which will be deemed to be an original copy of this Agreement and all of which, when taken together, will be deemed to constitute one and the same Agreement. The exchange of copies of this Agreement and of signature pages by facsimile or other electronic transmission shall constitute effective execution and delivery of this Agreement and may be used in lieu of the original Agreement for all purposes.
